STRONG — Nomination papers are available for several municipal positions.
After Jan. 1, selectman Clyde Barker will take his seat as county commissioner, and the town will continue with four selectmen until the elections on Friday, March 4. Voters will need to elect a selectman for a one-year term and another for a three-year term.
The Budget Committee needs to fill three seats, and the school board will have one position to fill, as Mike Pond is finishing his term.
Nomination papers may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office, from 2 to 5 p. m. on Thursdays or Fridays, and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays. Papers needs to be returned by Jan. 18, 2011.
Dog licenses must be paid by Jan. 1, 2011, to avoid a penalty.
