Observes 90th

AUBURN — Marcelle Daniels of Auburn recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends at Clover Health Care, where she resides.

Daniels was born in Lewiston on Nov. 22, 1920. She grew up in Lewiston and attended school in Jackman.

She is a lifelong resident of Lewiston and Auburn and retired from Ward Bros. in the 1980s.

Christmas Eve

AUBURN — A Christmas Eve service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the Danville Union Church. Everyone is welcome.

SAD 52 open house

TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will hold an open house from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Turner Learning Center, 486 Turner Center Road.

Those attending will learn about the education program and meet instructors, and there will be refreshments, music and prizes. The program is open to residents of Greene, Leeds and Turner.

Some of the classes being offered are Teen Yoga, FitKids, Folk Art Hooked Rug, Hula Hoop for Fitness, Photography, Make Your Clothes Fit, Zumba Blast, Baby Signing, Ballroom Basics and Automotive Basics.

Cribbage results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Dec. 16 were: first, Irene Beauchesne and Gene Brown; second, Bert Chenard and Terry Chambers; third, Muriel Webber and Roger Labbe; fourth, Lorraine Fillion and Bill Mickalide; fifth, Leo Muise and Steve Agurkis.

A game  will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23. For more information, call Roger Labbe at 212-9253. There will be no pinochle Thursday, Dec. 23, as the Multi-Purpose Center will close at noon.
