Between Friday, Dec. 10, at 7 a.m. and Friday, Dec. 17, at 7 a.m. the Lewiston Police Department responded to 643 calls for service. Of those calls, 139 were motor vehicle stops.

Burglaries

A residence at 186 Oak St. was burglarized on Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. The suspect stole a Wii and a Playstation; however, he awakened the residents in the process. The male victim confronted the suspect and got into a physical altercation with him. The suspect broke through a screen door in his efforts to escape. Detectives were able to use the description provided to identify the suspect as Adonia Labbe, 32. The victim picked him out of a photo lineup and he was arrested the following day.

A vacant apartment building at 63 Nichols St. has had all three apartments burglarized sometime over the previous week. No property was taken.

A residence at 79 Webster St. was burglarized overnight Dec. 14-15. The suspect kicked in a bathroom window to gain entry. A Sony flat-screen TV and a DVD player were taken.

Thefts

A textbook was stolen from the Ladd Library at 48 Campus Ave. sometime prior to 7:58 p.m. on Dec. 14.

A Macbook laptop and a set of Bose speakers were stolen from the Small House at 240 College St. prior to 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 11.

An HP laptop and 40 DVDs were taken from an apartment at 69 Horton St. sometime between midnight and 2 p.m.on Dec. 11.
