LIVERMORE FALLS — Four laptop computers and some gift cards were taken over the holiday weekend from the RSU 36 superintendent’s office.

Apparently someone pushed in an air conditioner left in a window then closed the window after entering the building, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. Police patrol around the building regularly but nothing seemed out of place with the window closed.

Once inside the building, a couple windows and interior doors were broken causing about a $100 in damage.

The gift cards taken were estimated at a value of $925 and the four computers were valued somewhere between $1,200 and $1,800, he said.

Ken Vining, transportation director, discovered the break-in Monday. His office door was one that was damaged, Steward said.

Officer Steve Allen is investigating the incident.
