DEAR SUN SPOTS: You folks do such a good job, and we are looking for some help.

On Friday, Dec. 17, while shopping in Lewiston and Auburn I lost my digital camera. It is a silver-colored Nikon Coolpix 520 and is in a black leather case.

Lots of family pictures that cannot be replaced are in the camera. A reward will be given upon return. If anyone has found it, you can call me at 739-6070. Thank you. — Sylvia Bosse, Norway, SFBosse@oxfordnetworks.net

DEAR SUN SPOTS: It’s my pleasure to write to you. Thank you for all the information you have given. I need help with three things.

First, I have a TracFone, which is also a camera. Where do I go to have these pictures developed? I have exhausted all avenues. No one is able to help. I hope you have the answer.

Second, please give me some information on the bad Steve Tab Trio. They used to play at the Hotel Holly on Main Street in Lewiston a while back.

Third, I am tired of AARP stuffing my post box with solicitations. It did no good whatsoever to call them. I had asked them by telephone to cease sending mail to M. Connell. So now they harass me by using M. OConnell. How does one get on the “do not mail” list?

Thank you so much. — M.C., Portland

ANSWER: There are usually two ways to get photos off a phone. One is to e-mail them. The other is to download your photos to a computer, then print out the photos from there or download them to a disk or flash drive and send them out for prints.

Sun Spots notes that your letter was handwritten, which leads her to believe you do not have a computer. If you do have a computer, you will then need a special USB cord that runs from your camera to a computer. These are usually not generic cords; each is designed to fit a specific phone. You should be able to find them at electronic stores such as Best Buy and Radio Shack.

Sun Spots called a photo shop in Portland she used to frequent, but they knew of no local business that would help you. Perhaps a helpful reader with a computer and the right knowledge will step up.

As for the Steve Tab Trio, Sun Spots did not find anything online. Perhaps readers will know more.

Sun Spots can be a little more helpful with your final question. You can register at www.dmachoice.org to take your name, and the various versions of it, off marketing lists. It’s not foolproof, but it will help. If you don’t want to do it online, you can register by mail, but there is a $1 fee for each form (available online, but a letter should also work) including three versions of your name. You can write to DMAchoice, Direct Marketing Association, P.O. Box 643, Carmel, NY 10512. Each request is good for three years.

You might also want to write to AARP directly. Calling is not as effective. Very few organizations actually handle their own direct mail operations, rather they farm them out to big mailing firms. Send a letter with all the permutations of your name to the address for subscription corrections in the front of the AARP magazine as well as to AARP directly.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to thank the person responsible for finding my purse in the Walmart parking lot and turning it in to customer service. Thank you and God Bless. — Linda B., Libra50@roadrunner.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Monday, Dec. 20, Lewiston and Auburn were hit by a nasty snow and ice storm. Traffic was rerouted from accidents on Goff Hill to the Academy Street hill in Auburn. The roadway quickly became slick and icy. Several young men and women helped many cars by pushing them up the hill. I would like to salute these heroes, who went out of their way to help strangers. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! — Jane Everett, Oxford
