Logan Martin-Mayo, 4, of Lewiston and his mother, Donna, pick out a stuffed animal to toss onto the ice during Teddy Toss Night at the Lewiston Maineiacs game in Lewiston on Thursday. Hockey fans throw stuffed animals onto the ice following the Maineiacs’ first goal during the annual event. The toys are donated to local charities to be given to children. “It’s a way to extend the giving season a bit,” said Bill Schurman, managing consultant and governor for the Maineiacs. The table of animals were collected by students at Geiger Elementary School and offered for a donation.
