FARMINGTON — Dr. George L. Jacobson, professor emeritus of biology, ecology and climate change at the University of Maine, will present a talk on “Influences of Climate Variability on Maine Forests — Past and Future,” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3.
Jacobson has been a member of the Climate Change Institute, and he was director of the institute for nearly a decade. He serves as the state climatologist.
