Rabies clinic

NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will hold a rabies vaccination and microchipping clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Norway Fire Station.

The cost for the rabies vaccination is $10. The cost for microchipping is $25. Microchipping pets will aid in locating them should a disaster occur or if they are lost.

Pizza night

BETHEL — The Rotary Club of Bethel will inaugurate its All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Matterhorn, Sunday River Road, Newry.

Tickets are $15 a person and can be purchased in advance from any club member or at the door. Proceeds will benefit Rotary’s scholarship fund to be given in honor of Rocky Freda.

Chinese auction

PARIS — Oxford Hills Project Graduation will sponsor a Chinese auction Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School cafeteria. This is the largest fundraiser for Project Graduation.

The doors will open at 11 a.m. and the drawing will start at 1 p.m. There will be lunch on sale.

Still on job

WOODSTOCK — Larry Billings, curator of the Woodstock Historical Society, is still working for the organization after 30 years.

Billings does publicity for the society, as he has from the beginning. He also catalogues and displays exhibits as well as donating to the museum.

During his years with the society, he has received letters from presidents and first ladies and met country western celebrities.
