FARMINGTON — A Farmington Falls man was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on several sex charges.

Andrew McDonald, 30, was arrested Nov. 24, 2010, in Farmington on a charge of gross sexual assault after police investigated incidents involving a teenage girl, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said.

McDonald was indicted on one felony count each of gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact. He was also indicted on six felony accounts of sex abuse of a minor.

According to the report of the Franklin County grand jury, those incidents occurred between Sept. 4, 2010, and Oct. 28, 2010.

McDonald was ordered by a Lewiston judge in November to have no contact with the victim or anyone under the age of 18, except for supervised visits with his children.

Police became involved after a referral from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
