FARMINGTON — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Franklin County Office, is offering a “Starting Seeds at Home” workshop at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at the University of Maine at Farmington, Room 101, Roberts Learning Center, 270 Main St.
Lauren St. Germain, home horticulture coordinator, will teach participants how to start a vegetable and flower seedlings.
It is a hands-on introduction, which will include discussion on how to navigate seed catalogues and choose varieties, equipment and lighting, when and how to plant seeds, transplant and care for seedlings.
There is a $5 fee payable the night of the class. Preregistration is required by calling 778-4650.
Any person with a disability who needs accommodations should contact the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Franklin County, office to discuss their needs at least five days in advance.
