RUMFORD — Bishop Richard Malone, Diocese of Portland, visited the students and faculty of Holy Savior Catholic School on Jan. 10.
Bishop Malone, accompanied by Sr. Rosemary Donohue, SND, superintendent of Maine catholic schools, spent the day visiting each class, from preschool through middle school, to talk with the students, learn about their recent studies and answers their questions.
Bishop Malone also shared stories of his recent trip to the Congo in Africa with Catholic Relief Services. The students joined the conversation by discussing their knowledge of similar relief efforts in Haiti and their research, support and involvement with missionaries in that country.
