LEWISTON — Kit Demos, who plays upright bass, will host an improvisational jazz show at She Doesn’t Like Guthries on Friday, Feb. 11.
Demos has studied physics, jazz and classical music performance privately and in college. He has played and recorded with free jazz/free improv guitarist Jeff Platz throughout the Northeast and in Europe. He has also performed with the Portland-based band Mystic Out Bop Review since 2000.
Demos has a passion for analog music synthesis, which he incorporates in his performances.
Besides performing, he teaches high-school chemistry and physics.
The show will begin at 9 p.m. at the cafe/restaurant at 115 Middle St. The cover charge is a suggested donation of $5. For more information, call 376-3344.
