AUBURN — On Sunday, Feb. 13, auditions for “Any One Of Us: Words from Prison” will be held by UU Theater for V-Day aUbUrn.
“Any One of Us: Words from Prison” was written by Eve Ensler, who also wrote “The Vagina Monologues.” Due to adult content, actors must be 16 or older.
Using the stories of women in prison, “Any One of Us” highlights the fact that women are often incarcerated as the direct result of violence committed against them.
There are five lead roles and a large speaking chorus. Monologues will be read, not memorized. Audition material will be provided.
The show will be presented on March 12-13.
UU Theater will also present “The Vagina Monologues” in April. Anyone auditioning on Feb. 13 may be considered for that show as well.
Auditions will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St. Anyone who cannot attend the audition should call 783-0461 to make other arrangements.
