SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Virginia T. Cosgrove, 79, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, in her home.
She was born in New York, N.Y., Ginny was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Domanico) Russo and the wife of the late James F. Cosgrove.
A long-time resident of Manhasset, N.Y., Ginny spent summers in Narragansett, before moving to Wakefield permanently three years ago. She was a graduate of Pembroke College at Brown University, a member of the Dunes Club in Narragansett and enjoyed playing tennis, golf and bridge.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. Shea of East Greenwich, R.I.; her son, James F. Cosgrove Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Princeton, N.J.; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. and Marilyn Russo of Cranston, R.I.; her sister-in-law, Aline Cosgrove of Lewiston; her three beloved grandsons, Thomas, Michael and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.
