Hundreds of Lewiston youngsters and adults are expected to attend Sunday’s annual Police Athletic League winter carnival at the Central Maine Youth Center.

It will be free of charge to everyone, the PAL reminded residents last night. Donations will not be asked.

The program will start at 1 p.m. after a 20-minute concert by the Scarlet Cadets drum and bugle corps, and will include skating exhibitions, races and hockey games. A highlight of the program will be the crowning of a queen.
