AUBURN — The evening meeting of the Woman’s Literary Union will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the club house, 19 Elm St.
The program will be on bird-watching in Florida, presented by Dan Marquis, nature photographer. Marquis is a long-time birdwatcher and member of the Stanton Bird Club, having served on its board of directors for 20 years.
He has been to Florida twice in the past three years, visiting some of the well-known sanctuaries such as Corkscrew Swamp and Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on the gulf coast and Merritt Island National Wildlife Reserve on the east coast, as well as many other lesser know locations.
Marquis will share some of his experiences of birding in the Sunshine State, with a slide show presentation highlighting many of the birds that can be seen at the sanctuaries there.
The meeting is open to the public. Hospitality will be provided by Janet Eustis, and refreshments will be served.
