RUMFORD — Motivational speaker and speed painter Rob Surette’s goal is to inspire both young and old to believe they can make a difference.

On Saturday, April 9, he will bring his “Be Somebody!” Amazing Hero art show to Mountain Valley High School.

During his fast-paced yet sophisticated performances, which are accompanied by music and video clips, Surette dips gloved hands into paint and creates realistic, beautiful portraits within minutes.

He is constantly in motion, leaping before canvases that stand 6 feet tall.

Amid this flying paint, Surette conveys his message of respect, compassion and creativity –and the power of positive thinking.

A world-class performer, Surette receives invitations regularly to perform his Amazing Hero Art in front of world leaders. Since 1995, he has given more than 2,500 performances and his repertoire consists of 500-plus historical figures, musicians, movie stars and athletes.
