AUBURN — Homeopathic Master Clinician Stephen Kottler will speak about homeopathic medicine on Tuesday, March 22, at Auburn Public Library.

Unlike conventional “allopathic” medicine, which focuses upon treating specific symptoms, homeopathy uses carefully formulated natural remedies to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms to correct the underlying causes of illness. Kottler will discuss how homeopathy works, what advantages it confers and why it provides effective treatments for a variety of chronic conditions that often fail to respond to conventional therapies.

Originally from Augusta, Kottler practiced law in Androscoggin County for nearly 25 years before completing courses of study at the Teleosis School of Homeopathy in Cambridge, Mass., and the Luminos School of Homeopathy in Victoria, British Columbia. He opened his practice, Androscoggin Homeopathics, in Lewiston in 2008.

This free PrimeTime Tuesdays program begins at 2 p.m. in the Library’s Androscoggin Community Room. PrimeTime Tuesdays programs are especially for adults ages 50 and over, but all are invited to join. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call the library reference desk at 333-6640, ext. 4.
