Into the Mud Challenge schedule for May 7

PORTLAND – The Into The Mud Challenge is soon approaching and to get you in the mood for the race here is a sneak peak of some of the obstacles being featured on the course.

Obstacle No. 4 on the course is called “The Slippery Slope” and it is a 25 x 50 foot downhill slope that is covered by a tarp covered in a slippery agent to make this section extra challenging. At the bottom of the hill will be a medium sized mud pit to land in, to get you extra muddy.

This next feature is a confusing web of heavy duty string that will be weaved in and out of trees that you will have to navigate your way through. This will be the 10th obstacle on the course and it is called “The Spider Web.”

Keep your eye out for upcoming press releases about other obstacles on the course. As a reminder, day of race registration and check-in will be from 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, with the individual and team races kicking off at 9:30 a.m. and the 12 and under youth race following.

The event is a fundraiser for the University of Southern Maine’s sport management program. Questions regarding the event may be directed to info@intothemudchallenge.com.
