Amvets supper

NEW GLOUCESTER — Amvets Post 6 will hold their monthly bean supper from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at the post home, Route 100.

Spaghetti dinner

SABATTUS — The Community Free Baptist Church on Main Street will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.

All proceeds will be used to benefit the food pantry at the church. The pantry serves those in the area who are in need. Suggested donation is $7 for adults and $3 for children. The menu includes spaghetti, tossed salad, bread and a large selection of cheesecakes for dessert.

On the same evening, at 6 p.m., the church will be showing the movie “The Passion of the Christ.” There is no charge for the movie and everyone is invited to attend. For more information, call the church at 375-4337.

Green Ladle BBQ

LEWISTON — The Green Ladle will host a BBQ dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, to support the Career & Technical Student Organizations of Lewiston Regional Technical Center traveling to national competitions.

Students from DECA, SkillsUSA and FBLA who’ve won top positions at the state conferences will compete at the national level. The event will help defray the costs for travel and accommodations related to the national competitions being held in Orlando and Kansas City.

The menu features BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers, chili, assorted salads, dessert and beverage. Donation is $9 per person.
