MEXICO — Two men are scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court to answer charges stemming from separate incidents last weekend.

Anthony Scott, 29, of Knox Street, Rumford, was arrested at 1:26 p.m. Sunday by Sgt. Roy Hodsdon after a vehicle chase. The officer said Scott was driving an ATV and tried to pass a vehicle headed east on the River Road by using the road shoulder. When Scott saw Hodsdon’s cruiser, he turned the ATV around and started driving at speeds of more than 50 mph, Hodsdon said.

Scott was charged with felony operating after habitual offender revocation, failure to stop for a police officer, operating an unregistered ATV and operating after license suspension, the officer said. Scott was taken to Oxford County Jail and was released Sunday on $500 cash bail. His court date is July 5 in South Paris.

On Saturday at about 4 a.m. Casey I. Campbell, 28, of Newbern, S.C., was arrested by Officer Daniel Carrier following a report of domestic violence at Sun Valley Circle.

Campbell was charged with felony burglary, violation of a protection from abuse order, domestic assault, domestic terrorizing and violation of conditions of bail.

He was taken to the jail in South Paris, transferred to Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn on Tuesday and released on bail Wednesday, a Paris jail official said. Campbell is scheduled to appear in the Paris court July 5.
