AUBURN — A class on the Hebrew prophets and the phenomenon of Biblical prophecy will be offered at Temple Shalom, 74 Bradman St., as part of the synagogue’s adult education program. The course will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, and will run for six consecutive Tuesday evenings. The instructor is Rabbi Hillel Katzir, the spiritual leader of Temple Shalom.

Topics will include the nature of prophecy, the prophet as a person and the prophet’s relationship with God; and will cover the entire period of prophecy from Isaiah to Malachi.

The course is open to all. There is no registration fee for Temple Shalom members; nonmembers are asked to pay a registration fee of $25.

No book is required; however, students should bring a Bible to each class session.
