PORTLAND — Cynthia Thomas, 68, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, April 15, at the Maine Medical Center.

Cynthia was born on Feb. 26, 1943, in New Bedford, Mass., the daughter of Newton and Esther McKean.

She was a loving caregiver at both local hospitals, along with several nursing homes, such as Russell Park, Clover Manor, Hospice House, Schooner Estates, with her final employment at Ledgewood Manor in Windham.

She is survived by her mother, Esther McKean; sisters, Diane Hunt and Allison Forsyth; brothers, David and Richard McKean; children, Tracy, Edwin, Tina, Bette-Jean, Tifany and Tonya; and several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Debra; son, Peter; and father, Newton McKean.

She will be sadly missed by all those she loved and cared for.
