JAY — The Daughters of Isabella, Circle 677 at St. Rose De Lima, met April 13 at 6:30 p.m.

The recitation of the rosary was led by Chancellor Laurieanne Castonguay. Reading of the March business minutes was by Recording Secretary Louise Chandler. She read thank-you cards she received from Annette Melanson for the benefit supper, from Ambrosia Perna for a donation, from Tri-Town Ministerial Association, from the family of Clement and Lucille Desjardens, from Cindy Herbert for a donation for the Friends Together Center, from Tri-Town Fuel Assistance, and from the family of Earl McDonald for the Mass given in his honor.

Regent Laurie Gagnepain read a letter from State Regent Beatrice Dostie.  The First Communion will take place May 6 at St. Joseph’s in Farmington, and the Daughters will be there to hand each child a cross.

The annual yard sale next will be May 7; anyone having items to donate is urged to leave them at the parish hall from noon to 6 p.m. May 6. Clothing will be accepted only if it is clean and whole.

Mothers Day carnations will be sold May 7 and 8. After the Mass in Jay the Daughters will be going to St. Joseph’s in Farmington to sell carnations.

The Fall Bazaar will be held Oct. 1 at the Parish hall. The baccalaureate will take place June 3 for Jay and June 10 for Livermore Falls. Anyone wishing to help with desserts may call Laurie Gagnepain.
