WELD — Weld residents will soon be seeing VSI Meter Services’ vehicles around town during daytime hours.
Central Maine Power Co. has contracted with the company to install Smart Meters and work is expected to begin soon.
The town has received a letter from CMP to notify residents of the upcoming installations.
The letter states, “while these vehicles may not be as recognizable as the CMP orange trucks, all VSI vehicles will be marked for easy identification and VSI employees will carry pictured identification and wear work uniforms displaying a CMP/VSI logo.”
Also, Wilton Town Manager Rhonda Irish told selectmen Tuesday that CMP has notified the town that installation of Smart Meters will begin there soon.
