SANDY RIVER PLANTATION — A Dixfield woman was injured Tuesday when the motorcycle she was driving took a corner too fast and ended up in a ditch, Franklin County Sheriff Cpl. Nate Bean said.
Marlene Bryant, 49, received facial lacerations and a slight head injury, Bean said.
The accident occurred on Route 4 near the Appalachian Trail, Lt. Niles Yeaton said. It was reported at about 1:10 p.m. that a woman was unconscious in a ditch, Lt. Niles Yeaton said.
Bryant had been traveling south from Rangeley, Bean said.
She had regained consciousness and was walking when a NorthStar Emergency Services ambulance from Phillips arrived on the scene, Yeaton said.
Bryant was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
The 2011 Harley-Davidson Bryant was driving received extensive damage, Bean said.
Deputy Sandy Burke and Bean handled the accident.
