LISBON — Sally Wentworth of Nina Rebekah Lodge #86, District Deputy President of District #3 of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine, will preside over the annual meeting of the district being held Saturday, June 11, at the IOOF Hall. This is a rescheduled meeting for the one planned for April 16 that had to be postponed.
Participating in the meeting will be Martha Shorette, deputy marshal and members of Colfax Rebekah Lodge of Mechanic Falls, Nina Rebekah Lodge of Lisbon and Liberty Rebekah Lodge of Auburn. Katherine Tweedie of Thorndike, warden of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine, will be the visiting officer. Rebekahs from the various lodges in the state are invited to attend.
The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m., preceded by a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. During the meeting there will be a memorial service in memory of all the departed members of the three lodges in the district and past presidents of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine.
There will be a President’s Tableau depicting the program of the Rebekah Assembly President, Carol Pavone of Farmingdale. Her special project is raising money for breast cancer for which she has pins for sale for $3. Anyone interested in purchasing a pin may contact Sally Wentworth at 353-4082.
The meal for the district meeting will be chicken breast, potato, veggies and dessert for $7.
