JAY — Police are searching for a stolen pop-up camper. The owners of a 2003  Rockwood camper reported Friday that it disappeared between Memorial Day and June 10, Jay Police officer Nicholas Gulliver said.

Stored on an empty lot at 1432 Franklin Road near Bean’s Corner, it sat next to a larger camper that was not taken. Owners went to prepare it for a weekend camping trip and found it was gone, Gulliver said.

Camping equipment was stored in the camper. A rough estimate of value was set at $2,500, the officer said.
