LEWISTON — The wedding of Elise Joline Jack and Aaron David Gagnon was held at 10 a.m. on April 17, 2010, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. Msgr. Marc Caron officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Gagnon is the daughter of Curtis and Sonia Jack of Lewiston. Mr. Gagnon is the son of Dwight and Kay Gagnon of Benton.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a cream-colored, custom-made gown with Alencon lace jacket, tied at the waist with a cream-colored satin sash over a satin A-line skirt with a chapel train. Her headpiece consisted of a vintage beaded cap worn by her grandmother, mother and sister, complete with a Cathedral-length veil with Alencon lace detail. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses, freesia and spray roses, in shades of white and cream.
Aimee Lynn Jack, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Amanda Bergeron, cousin of the bride, Amy Gagnon, sister of the bridegroom, Catherine Aguiar-DiOrio, friend of the bride, and Grace Hutchinson, cousin of the bride. Olivia Elise Austin, goddaughter and cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Patrick Leahy, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Robert Caverly and Nicholas Hahn, friends of the bridegroom, and Michael Curran, brother-in-law of the bride. Porter Beaule, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of Lewiston High School and an undergraduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders, and a bachelor’s degree in child development and family relations. She is employed by RSU 16, working with pre-K students.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and is an undergraduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in music and music education. He currently teaches general music, band and chorus at Dresden Elementary School.
The couple is residing in Auburn.
