Mackos
GENEVA, N.Y. — Chelsea R. Plourde and Nicholos A. Mackos, both of Albuquerque, N.M., were united in marriage on Sept. 10. They were married at the Belhurst Castle located on Seneca Lake in Geneva, N.Y. The Rev. Eric O’Connor performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Roland and Carol Plourde of Poland and the granddaughter of Eugene Stevens of Lewiston and the late Theresa Stevens, as well as Gaston and Irene Plourde of Auburn. The bridegroom is the son of Anthony and Denise Mackos of Townsend, Mass., and the grandson of the late Thaddeus and Norma Mackos of East Hampton, Mass., as well as the late Victor and Marry DeMarco of Chelsea, Mass.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. Her dress was a white satin A-line gown and the bouquet was a mix of deep red and traditional red roses.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Carrie Norton of Portland. Bridesmaids were Gabrielle Peters of King of Prussia, Pa., Monica Kempsell of Portland, Ore., and Heidi Purington of Portland, all college friends, and Devon Pillsbury-Coyne of Poland, childhood friend.
The best men were Bill Pfeister of King of Prussia, Pa., college friend of the bridegroom, and Craig Schoeck, childhood friend from Townsend, Mass. Groomsmen were Christopher, Matthew and Joshua Mackos of Townsend, Mass., all brothers of the bridegroom.
A reception, hosted by the couple, started with cocktails and appetizers on the lawn on Seneca Lake. This was followed by dinner and dancing at the Belhurst Castle Ballroom. The couple’s favorite band, Something Else, provided the entertainment for the night.
The bride is a graduate of Poland Regional High School, class of 2004, in Poland and from Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, (N.Y.), class of 2009, with a bachelor’s degree in micro electronic engineering, and a graduate degree in material science and engineering at the RIT College of Science in 2011. She is currently employed as a senior process engineer at Emcore in Albuquerque, N.M.
The bridegroom is a graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School, class of 2002, Townsend, Mass., and from Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, (N.Y.), class of 2007, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Impact Technologies.
