LEWISTON — Kevin Gagne, Public Works deputy director for utilities, has obtained his professional engineer license.
To qualify, an individual must complete a minimum of a four-year bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering school; pass an eight-hour national Fundamentals of Engineering exam; complete a minimum of three years of experience under the direction of a licensed professional engineer; and pass an additional eight-hour national Principles and Practice of Engineering examination.
Gagne was hired by the city 1993 and has served in various capacities, including engineering technician, combined sewer overflow coordinator, project engineer, and assistant water and sewer superintendent. He was promoted to deputy director in 2003.
