LISBON — Moxie Days 2011 at the Lisbon Historical Society will take place July 8-10.

A guest appearance and book signing by Eugene P. Elcik, a native of Lisbon, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the MTM Center, Lisbon Falls. There will be full access to the archives. The society will also have a collection of old photos on display that are in need of identification.

An open house at the Ridge School, Lisbon Falls, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10. The Ridge School was built in 1874 and is located at the junction of Route 9 (Ridge Road) and Upland Road.

The July 13 meeting will feature guest speaker Charles Anthony of Durham, a living history presenter who will speak on “Loyalists in the American Revolution — The Story from the Other Side.” Wear something “Moxie” or a Lisbon Historical Society T-shirt and be entered in a prize drawing.

The Historical Society at the MTM Center is located at 18 School St., Lisbon Falls, in rooms 5 and 6. Please use the rear entrance.
