LEWISTON — Tim A. Smith, 44, died suddenly Sunday, July 3, in Lewiston.

He was born in Norway, May 10, 1967, to Neil A. Smith of Norway and Clara (Meserve) Smith-Hunton of Norway. He attended Oxford Hills schools. Tim worked many years for Aspen Tree and other jobs. He became disabled in 1995.

He had a great sense of humor, always ready for a joke with friends and family. He really enjoyed joking and teasing his “step dad.” He was a great pool player and cribbage player. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, especially NASCAR and attended a Boston Celtics game in Boston. He enjoyed traveling, went to Florida, several times.

He enjoyed family cookouts and going to parties. One of his greatest joys was going places and doing things with his daughter, who he loved very much.

Tim is survived by his mother, Clara Hunton and stepfather, Douglas Hunton, of North Norway; his father, Neil A. Smith of Massachusetts; daughter, Beth A. Smith of Lewiston; brother, Tad C. Smith and fiancee, Christine Goodwin, of Lewiston; stepgrandmother, Marita Hunton of Norway; and many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Nelson and Pearl Smith and Leonard and Barbara Merserve.
