JAY — Announcement is made of the engagement of Katie Barton and Josh Ambrose, both of Somersworth, N.H.

Miss Barton is the daughter of Ben Barton of New London, N.H., and Sandy Barton of Newbury, N.H. She is a graduate of Hopkinton High School in Hopkinton, N.H., and a 2006 graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Mass. She is an environmental claims specialist for Liberty Mutual in Dover, N.H.

Mr. Ambrose is the son of Homer and Louise Ambrose of Jay. He is a 2000 graduate of Jay High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. He is an IT team lead for Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth, N.H.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 20 at Newmarket community Church in Newmarket, N.H.
