SOUTH PARIS — Richard “Dick” Elden Melrose, 85, formerly of Fryeburg, died July 3, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

The Melrose family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the loving “Residential Care Unit” nurses and staff at Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris for providing our brother/uncle, Dick Melrose with love, dignity and respect so he could live in peace during his final stage of life. As he once expressed to us regarding his care there at the Veterans’ Home, “I couldn’t ask for anything more.” God bless those who care for those who courageously served our country.
