Eleven campers and three counselors from the Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center paddled the Androscoggin River from Hanover to Rumford on Thursday. The young campers’ paddle was part of the ongoing Source to the Sea Trek. A highlight of their trip was seeing three bald eagles, one flew just five 5 over their heads with a freshly caught fish, as well as seeing a great blue heron. The campers finished the trip with a community service project, clearing brush from a Hanover public boat launch.
