PARIS — The Lewiston Girls U-19 Summer Softball Team recently completed its regular season in the Oxford Hills Summer League, compiling a hard earned 5-3 record.
The girls eliminated No. 1 seed Oxford Hills, 6-1, in the play-offs behind an outstanding pitching performance by Kati Dumais, who spun a no-hitter, and the stellar defense efforts of Sarah Turner, Kenzie Sullivan, Michelle Malia and catcher Caela Waite.
Lewiston went on to play Minot/Hebron for a spot in the championship game. The girls lost a hard fought 4-2 decision. Dumais had another strong effort on the mound, the infield of Tamara Roy, Lauren Eldridge, Meaghan Girouard and Shyan Baillargeon were outstanding defensively in the loss.
Team members are, Kati Dumais, Caela Waite, Kenzie Sullivan, Tori Denis, Tamara Roy, Lauren Eldridge, Meaghan Girouard, Shyan Baillargeon, Sarah Turner, Cleo Miller, Erica Brochu, Brianna Czarkowski, and Michelle Malia. The team was coached by Rick Osgood, Bill Brochu,and Curt Dumais.
