RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of James “Big Jim” Stoklas was celebrated at noon Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and  Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Be Not Afraid,” “This is My Father’s World,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd” and “Fly Like a Bird.” Readings were presented by Barbara Doherty. Bearers were Andrew Halkett, Michael Witas Mark Folland and Thomas Stoklas. Honors were rendered by the Maine Military Funeral Honor Guard and the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard. A reception followed at the Chicken Coop. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
