LEWISTON — Funeral services for Oriel F. “Bud” Gellatly were held Monday at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen R. Carnahan officiating. During the service, words of remembrance were shared by brother-in-law, Bill Brunot and fellow Shriners, John Knox, Paul Boudreau and Tom Nason. Also sharing memories of Bud were brother-in-law, Harold Dorr and cousin, Alexander Gellatly. Also in attendance were delegations from Androscoggin Bank and Oxford County Credit Union. All in attendance were then invited to greet the Gellatly family with their own personal condolences. The Scottish Highlander Bagpipers of Kora Temple honored Bud in the courtyard of the funeral home which concluded services in Lewiston with “Amazing Grace.” After a reception of fellowship at the Ramada Inn, all were the invited to graveside committal prayers at Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield, where the U.S. Air Force honor detail played “taps” and presented the U.S. flag to Bud’s wife, Joan. Bearers were Jeff, Alex and Scott Gellatly as well as Harold Dorr, William Brunot and Kier Campbell. Arrangements were also by Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk.
