Sundays, August–October, Lewiston Farmers’ Market (weekly), 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Bates Mill 5 municipal parking lot on the corner of Main and Lincoln streets. Family-friendly market with more than 20 vendors selling locally grown, raised and Maine made products. Live music, ready to eat food. For more information contact 513-3848.

Wednesdays, August–October, Lewiston Farmers Market (weekly), at St. Mary’s on the corner of Lafayette and Campus. For more information contact 513-3848.
Wednesdays, August–October, Canning and Preserving! (weekly), 1 to 3 p.m., at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St. Learn and practice how to water bath can jams, jellies, pickles, tomatoes and more. Small donation requested to participate. Thursdays, September, Kids Cooking Club (weekly), 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Lewiston Public Library, Children’s Department (3rd floor). Free to kids ages 8-13, call the library to sign up.
Thursday, Sept. 15, Gluten Free Thai Night, 6:30-8 p.m., at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St. Join the Living Free Gluten Support Group and enjoy a night of food and tips on how to make Thai recipes in your own home. For more information call 513-3848.
Saturday, Sept. 24, Common Ground Fair, 1 to 2 p.m. Stop by the Young Maine Speakers Tent at the Common Ground Fair to hear Lots to Gardens’ youths present a workshop on stories of growing food and youth.
