A workshop titled “Quilting as a Spiritual Practice — Working with ‘Ugly Fabric'” will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Danville Union Church, 1065 Old Danville Road in Auburn. Participants will be making their own quilted table runner. “Ugly fabrics,” scissors, pins and sewing machines will be available, but participants may choose to bring their own. There will be a $10 fee, which will include a light luncheon of sandwiches, chili, pickles, chips and dessert. All levels of ability are welcome at this workshop, as it will be very informal.
