RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Alcide J. Bernier was celebrated Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “How Great Thou Art,” “Fly Like a Bird,” “Only This I Want” and “J’irai la voir un jour.” The old and new testaments were presented by Barbara Doherty. Personal reflections were shared by his son, Roger Bernier. Pallbearers were James Sloan, Michael Bernier, Brandon Robin, Adam Robin, Alex Robin and Aaron Robin. Interment was at St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
