AUBURN — The East Wind Gospel Singers will host their 19th annual Gospel Music Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave. Along with music by the East Wing Gospel Singers, the evening will include special guest The LaClaires and the Denny Family.

September 2011 marked the beginning of the 25th year that the East Wing has been sharing the gospel through music and testimonies. East Wing travels throughout New England and Canada preforming in nursing homes, retirement centers, prisons and churches.

Over the years, East Wing has won several awards for their dedication and commitment to the ministry of gospel music. They have participated in the Down East Country Music/Gospel Association of Maine winning first place in the gospel category as well as participating in the North America Country Music Association International at Pigeon Forge, Tenn., where they won first place in the gospel category. Their new CD “East Wind 25 Anniversary 1987-2012” will be released and available on Oct. 23.

Admission is free, a love offering will be taken.
