NORWAY — October’s 5th Saturday will feature contra dancing and a public supper on Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Norway Grange Hall.

The ghostly cooks at Norway’s Ganderia Middle School will serve a public supper starting at 5 p.m. Dinners will be $8 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under. Menu includes chicken pot pie, vegetarian pot pie, bread, salad and desserts. All money raised from the dinners will benefit the school. People are encouraged to dress up as there will be a costume competition with a harvest basket as prize. There will also be a 50/50 ticket sale as part of the school fundraiser.

The Norway Contra Dance series will continue at 7 p.m. with Julia Plumb and Jim Joseph performing on fiddle, banjo and squeeze box and Bill Olson calling.

Dancers are invited to come in their ghoulish best. To pay for the talent and the hall, a donation of $10, kids under 10 free, will be appreciated at the door. Proceeds benefit Ganderia Middle School and Roberts Farm Preserve.
