LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday for Gerard A. Laroche at Holy Cross Church following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home.

The Rev. Nathan March officiated and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The reading and prayer of the faithful was read by Sue Laroche.

Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Cindy and Molly Tripp. Ryan Tripp sang and accompanied himself on guitar with “How Great Thou Art.”

The eulogy was given by SMSGT Gerald Tripp Jr.

Pallbearers were Gerald Tripp Jr., Ryan, Alan and Zachary Tripp, Eugene Veilleux III, Karen Smith and Shelly Annaldo.

SMSGT Gerald Tripp Jr. performed the flag presentation at the committal, assisted by the Maine Funeral Honors Program military honors team.
