The 12th annual Scholarship Scramble, organized by the Androscoggin Chamber and the Central Maine Community College Foundation, was held Aug. 31 at the Poland Spring Golf Course. A total of 36 teams participated in the event which is expected to raise more than $50,000 for scholarships. Since the first event in 2000 the Scramble has raised more than $410,000 to support local students in post-secondary education. The Northeast Bank team took the honors for first place gross.
