The 12th annual Scholarship Scramble, organized by the Androscoggin Chamber and the Central Maine Community College Foundation, was held Aug. 31 at the Poland Spring Golf Course. A total of 36 teams participated in the event which is expected to raise more than $50,000 for scholarships. Since the first event in 2000 the Scramble has raised more than $410,000 to support local students in post-secondary education. The Northeast Bank team took the honors for first place gross. In the foursome were Jim Day, Mike Williams, Brian Bolduc and Matt Simard. They are pictured here with Tori MacDonald (second from right) from tournament sponsor Center Street Dental. The first place net award went to the foursome from the WalMart Distribution Center.
