Free luncheon
FARMINGTON — A free monthly community luncheon will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Old South First Congregational Church, 227 Main St.
The menu includes macaroni and cheese with ham, green beans, rolls and gingerbread.
For delivery service in the Farmington area, call 778-0424 during the week or 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon.
Genealogy meet
FARMINGTON — The Sandy River Valley Chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Farmington Public Library. The program topic will be an explanation of what information can be found in funeral home records that will be helpful to the genealogist. The speaker will be someone from Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service. Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome to attend.
Ham dinner
NEW SHARON — A ham dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Masonic Lodge 123, Route 2.
The meal includes potatoes, raisin sauce, baby carrots, green beans, apple sauce, rolls, pie, tea and coffee. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children six to 12, and free for under six. Takeout is available.
Proceeds will benefit the building fund.
