Key losses: Eliza Richard, Tim Andrews.
Promising newcomers: Boys: Senior — Lucas Bonnevie; Freshmen — Felix Bonnevie, Max Kay, Anthony Franchetti. Girls: Freshmen — Eryn Hiscock, Becky Close.
Outlook: Has there ever been a year when the Cougars aren’t considered title contenders? The short answer is no. With only one major piece of the puzzle gone from each squad, both the boys and girls are looking as strong as ever. The elder Bonnevie’s return from CVA will be a big boost, and the girls have a strong returning core as well. After a year with shady depth, the team is once again picking up numbers and shou,d be deeper than a year ago.
Coach’s comment: “Both the boys and the girls, historically, have always had depth. If we have one skier fall, we have a fifth or sixth skier right there to pick them up. I think we have that again this year.” — Coach Mark Cyr
