Coach: Ryan Laroche (eighth year)

Last year’s record: Fourth in Class A, KVAC champions

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Darnnell Hairston (high jump, hurdles, sprints), Gage Clavet (pole vault, sprints), Bryan Ring (jumps, sprints) ; Juniors — Connor Harris (jumps, sprints), Roger Charest (sprints); Sophomores — Izaac White (distance), Brandon Bennett (pole vault, sprints), Brady Pleau (pole vault, sprints).

Key losses: Faisal Noor, Taka Ranucci, Michael Lucas, Hussein Mohamed, Cody Meserve.

Outlook: The Red Eddies bid farewell to a strong senior class that led the way to their first conference indoor championship. Their title defense comes down to a solid returning nucleus and a lot of unknowns. Harris won the state triple jump title and lost the high jump on misses. Hairston should collect points in bunches in his three disciplines, and Ring and Clavet should challenge for spots at states. The rest of the returnees should contribute, too. “After that, we’ve got a whole lot of I don’t know yet,” Laroche said. Most of the new talent should be in the sprints and jumps.

Coach’s comment: “There’s some potential, but I honestly don’t know what I’m going to get out of those newer kids.”
