JAY — A financial aid information presentation for the parents of North and South Spruce Mountain High School Seniors will be given at 5 p.m Thursday, Dec. 15, in the North Campus High School Library. Dori Fellman, director of the GEAR-UP program at the University of Maine at Farmington, will describe the financial aid application and award processes.

Fish chowder

FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. The luncheon includes chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee/tea beverage. For local delivery (within five miles of the church) call the church at 778-4705. The donation for the luncheon is $6.

Christmas services, meal

FARMINGTON — Living Waters Assembly of God has announced Christmas services as well as a free senior citizens Christmas meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.

A Christmas service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.

A special Christmas service with candlelight service, special music, children’s choir and a Christmas Human Video will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. A bus is available; call for a ride.

There will be no service on Sunday, Dec. 25.

Knights Templar

WILTON — Pilgrim Commandery 19, Knights Templar, will hold its annual Christmas observance at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, in the Harnden Masonic Lodge Hall on the Bryant Road in East Wilton. All sir knights, chapter, council and master Masons are invited to attend this special Christmas service.

Community breakfast

RANGELEY — The next community breakfast with everyone invited will be held from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Gingerbread House.

Festival donations

FARMINGTON — On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Franklin County Children’s Task Force will host the annual Children’s Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UMF Olsen Student Center. The festival offers a day of fun and entertainment for families and is free of charge.

Monetary donations are needed along with tangible goods. Call the Franklin County Children’s Task Force to see how to help or mail donations directly to Franklin County Children’s Task Force, 113 Church St., Farmington, ME 04938. Volunteers are also needed for the day of the event.
